I recently picked up an old Trace Elliott off reverb and channel 1 had a loud buzz. Contacted Upscale music after reading good reviews. Mario was very friendly and fixed my amp in a good amount of time and for a good price. He has a lot of cool amps there even one I never seen before. Definitely will be bringing more work his way

I don't like giving negative but Mario burned me for $50. And I gave him a chance to fess up. Briefly, I needed pre amp work done on my guitar. He took a deposit and after some time, I called him to pick it up and he told me he was backlogged. No problem on my part I have other guitars. Later, my money tightened and I called him to not work on the guitar and that I would bring it back in spring or summer.

He didn't respond. When I came to pick up my instrument, he told me I couldn't have my deposit returned because he had started diagnostics on it which was a lie. But I was truthful telling him that I would return it at a later date. I won't ever trust him again and there are other honest guitar repair folks around. He wasn't cool. Sure he gave me a set of strings as a consolation prize. I had bought from Mario before but never will return.

He lost my patronage. I told him the truth about my willingness to return at a later date and he lied to me in return. And he kept giving different repair costs the lowest given when I picked up my guitar but by that time I had lost confidence in his business ethics. I'm self employed and I would never treat any customer in this manner.
