In 1914, the Hook Brothers Piano Company was established in Madison, Wisconsin. The original store, situated at 101 State Street, sold pianos and other musical instruments. T. Lane Ward and Cecil Brodt were employed by this company, the former being secretary-treasurer and the latter a salesman. In 1927, T.
