Putnam Music Center is both a retail store and music school located near Lake Mahopac in Putnam County, New York. Serving the community for over a decade, Putnam Music is focused on helping customers with all their musical needs including instrument sales, rentals, repairs and lessons.

Our lesson program is aimed at providing students of all ages with a high quality musical education. Our carefully selected instructors have many years of experience in music, both performing and teaching, and are well versed in many styles. We are committed to crafting a positive learning environment where students can work with an instructor one-on-one to reach their goals and also have fun in the process.

When is the instrument due back? What about accidental damage? Repairs can be expensive so we do offer an optional damage coverage plan available at time of rental that will cover most damage related issues.

We offer expert repairs and set-ups on most instruments and take pride in every item we work on. No job is too big or too small and we give customers an honest assessment of what work will need to be done before taking in an instrument. From completely restoring vintage instruments to slight adjustments and single string replacements, we do it all.
