Founded by Evan Tublitz, RPT, an internationally known concert piano technician, Used Piano Center, LLC came about as an alternative to traditional piano retailers. In 1987, he founded the Artist Pianos chain of piano stores in Upstate New York and owned it for many years but then realized that new pianos were NOT being made with the same materials and workmanship as they were in the past.

Careful Selection - Only the best makes and models are selected to insure the best value. An extensive inspection is performed to insure that each instrument meets our stringent standards of both quality and value before acquiring it. Due to the high cost of true rebuilding (custom re-manufacturing) to make a piano last for another 50- 75 years, most rebuilders perform a lesser expensive commercial rebuild that generally does not hold up or retain its value.Low Wear - Every piano is selected to have less than 5% if not 1% wear to insure your piano will be LIKE NEW.

Your careful attention to voicing and regulation has been noticed by some famous artists who have practiced on my piano before performances like Olga Kern and others. Your magnificent reconditioning of my old family Bechstein Grand restored the sound to better than I ever heard it before!
