I tried to buy a violin 4/4 to my son, he's a beginner in his school, but they have only expensive prices.finally I can found at Amazon better prices.

I had them do a simple bow re-hair they also glued my grip back in place. The grip was glued too close to the frog. I cannot loosen the hair without running over the grip. In addition the length of the hair is a little too short. This must be common place there, as the terrible loaner bow they lent me had a very damaged grip. I will need to find a better shop to have more delicate work done. It is unlikely that I will return.

I had a wonderful experience at the Long Island Violin Shop today. I went with my son to buy a new violin for him. He is a ninth grade fairly accomplished violin player. Carol was very helpful. He tried numerous violins and finally wound up buying one that he loved. They are very accommodating, and very helpful. We went to the Huntington location because of the number of violins to select from. They have high-quality instruments, bows and everything you need for your violin. They also do excellent repair work, which we have had done in the past on my sons older violin.

I've been coming here for lessons for years and have had amazing instructors; each one has given me insight on how to properly play as well as hone in on the nuances that come with playing string instruments. Recently I decided to purchase a violin and bow after years of renting ( they give you $ credit for renting that you can apply to a purchase which is very helpful!) The knowledgeable and patient staff let you trial the instruments and bows and never rushed or pressured me. I highly recommended this incredible shop for all your needs as they work very diligently to please and accommodate customers!

They have an excellent violin rental program. But it will get expensive in the long run - better to buy a full size at the earliest. Service is very good with well informed staff but they can get crowded

I am a beginner violinist and have been taking lessons every week for a year at this location. I am overjoyed with my amazing instructor, Jen. This place is a cultural oasis. The display of instruments is stunning. One of the best things I have ever done was to embark on learning to play this noble instrument and thanks to the warm and generous staff, my dream of learning about music and playing an instrument is happening with great satisfaction.
