Bandland was opened by Fred Ross in 1964. The original location was just down the street at 148 E Pike. Fred Ross had previously been the band instrument manager at CC Keys Music in Clarksburg. Bandland moved to its current location in 1971. Since its inception, Bandland has been a specialty school music business catering almost entirely to the progress of area band & orchestra programs.

Bandland continues to be an independent, family-owned music store employing a highly-qualified and experienced staff to meet the needs of its customers.

I have two grandchildren that started Band this year. Bandland was very helpful and respectful and assisted me with the purchase of instruments for my grandchildren. Now my grandson is taking private trumpet lessons at Bandland and he loves it. I highly recommend Bandland!

The guy that fixed my daughters flute was so friendly and knowledgeable and my daughter thinks it plays better than when it was new. He also fixed it in a very timely manner. Definitely will be back soon if there's any other problems with my kids instruments

Bandland is awesome. My son needed his sax repaired. Repairman made arrangements with a friend to have the instrument delivered back to us instead of us having to make a trip down during the week.
