Great Music Shop! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Repairs, installs and setups are top notch, done quickly at a very fair price. Owner Tim loves what he does and loves guitars and it shows!

I recently called about 15 other music shops to see if they could help me with something simple and none of them could but I was referred to Drum & Strum by one shop. Gave D&S a quick call and the gentleman who answered was very helpful. Nice drive out to their shop from the Manassas area and another individual (different from the person who answered the phone) immediately help and gave a few options.

They carry a nice selection of beginner to top end/professional gear. I've been playing guitar for about 35 years and professionally for about 20 and have seen how music shops have evolved over the years. I over heard a conversation with a beginner musician and their mom and this shops reminds me of the stores from my childhood where they really encourage and try to help to make sure you're getting the right information to make the right decision. Definitely a cool crew with a good selection of gear.

I ordered a strat from Drum & Strum through Reverb and it arrived in PERFECT condition and plays like a dream. They shipped it out very quickly and packed it very well. Thanks, guys! I love my new guitar!

Amazing collection of guitars, instruments and even better service. Tim and his team worked closely with me to find the collection of guitars and mandolin I've been looking for. They were patient, listened to what I was looking for and made the perfect match. After my purchase they were more than helpful to install pick-ups and custom fit the set up just right! Highly recommend!

Thanks to Tim and Dean at Drum & Strum in Warrenton for giving new life to my grandmother's 1936 Gibson. I never had the privilege of meeting my grandmother but this guitar helps me connect to her soul. Dean performed major surgery on the guitar, over came several obstacles, and handed me back a guitar with beautiful sound, perfect intonation, and a pick up so that I can perform with it live.

They reset the neck, reshaped the bridge, added new vintage-look tuner's, mended cracks, and painstakingly stained and sanded certain areas to keep the finishes authentic. I could not be happier with the result nor could I give a higher recommendation to take vintage and new instruments to Drum & Strum for repairs and TLC. Forever grateful.

Had a great experience with these guys! They helped get my acoustic up to par (changed the strings and added a button for a strap) and even introduced me to Mike Harrington who gave me lessons! Super grateful for them. They know their stuff and I always enjoy stopping by when I can :)

Just ordered a 1956 Gibson LG-1 and it arrived in perfect shape. Finding the perfect instrument for you can be a long process but the folks at D&S make sure you get what you really need. The setup on this guitar is perfect and it is clean as a whistle for being such an old gal. No matter where you are, check this shop out especially if you are into vintage acoustics.

Recently went to Drum & Strum to get a nut replacement and work up on a bass I haven't used in a few years. The customer service here is fantastic. The gentlemen who were working up front were extremely helpful and went beyond the call of duty to meet my needs. You can tell these guys are passionate about music and want to make everyone feel welcome coming in the door.

The guitar tech, Alex, was also extremely helpful and upon picking my bass up today I have to say I am very pleased! Alex even saved me a few bucks by fixing the nut issue without having to replace it. Before I could even walk out the door, Alex made sure my bass was in the exact state I wanted it, putting the bass's action in my most preferred playing style and insisting on my complete satisfaction with the work up.

The other guys who work up front talked music with me while I waited, and they were all very friendly and patient even though I came in 15 mins prior to closing. Wish I could give 6 stars. Thank you Alex and the Drum & Strum staff!

This is one of the best family run music stores in Virginia, run by the finest people, with a legacy of good players, and great teachers. I've been playing guitar for 30 year and had my first lessons at Drum and Strum. It's the greatest thing that this shop is open and should be supported in every way possible.

Sorry to see a couple less than 5 star reviews. I would give this store more than 5 stars if it were available. This is a wonderful music location with an educated staff. I am a senior, senior citizen that most instructors would not give the time of day but came to Drum and Strum about a year and a half ago, ask about a guitar then asked about lessons.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the store, the lessons and every body in it! They carry lots of primary, quality equipment for sale at a modest price as well as mid range priced string instruments. They can get higher end instruments too but not necessarily every instrument on the market. This is not a big box store (thank Heaven).

A friend of mine started taking lessons at the store after hearing about my experiences. One of my 10 Grand kids started some lessons and enjoyed it with another looking into it now. Drum and Strum is worth giving an even chance.
