Finding the right cello is a unique process for each player, and what makes a cello perfect for one person might not be the fit for another. Below we'll share some of our experience in finding the right cello, and are happy to help you find what you are looking for. Some people have a mindset that there are beginner, intermediate and advanced cellos, but we think that is misleading.
This case is part of the HighTech series, so it's light-weight and very protective with its ABS shell, Airex foam core, and suspension pads that are broad and dense. It has the same dimensions as the Slim model, but the leather front makes it a little heavier - ~9 lbs with both shoulder straps. Available in 9 colors, they are usually made to order.
Edited by Alexanian. This edition of the Bach Cello Suites contains not only the music as interpreted with bowings and fingerings by Alexanian, but also an analysis of his interpretation in English, French and German. Included is the Anna Magdalena manuscript. May be helpful to students new to Bach's suites and looking for fingerings, bowing and dynamic suggestions.
In the Woods is a suite in six movements for cello and piano. Included are two cello parts: one with David Popper's fingering and bowing and one modified for the modern cello by Martin Rummel. Once we know what you want and where it has to be shipped, we'll check stock, clarify any questions you may have, and give you shipping options, transit times and costs.

I highly recommend Cellos2Go. My experience with the shop was just wonderful. Ellen is very professional and supportive. I could take as much time as I needed to choose my cello. I'm blessed to live in the same area!

Jul 29, 2017 8:01pm I love Cellos2Go and am really enjoying my new cello. Thanks very much for all of your support over the years, Ellen. I finally got a chance to visit her shop after ordering stuff online for years. I strongly recommend going for a visit if you're in the area.

MAGICAL experience. I drove an hour based on my future cello teacher's recommendation and I was not disappointed. There is a great rental policy here (all rental payments go towards full purchase up to 12 months). The lady who runs this is super nice and will run you through things until you find the perfect instrument for you. Also, if you go in the evenings she might led you feed the geese and turtles which pop by! This is affordable, you get the best service, and you get an amazing instrument. I would have been happy if I drove 2 hours to rent from her!

I was in the market for a new cello case, having lugged my crazy heavy 15-year old, 17 lb. old-school BAM case around for way too long. My friend recommended I shoot Ellen an email for a cello case recommendation, since she had been helpful to him a few years back. I sent her my reqs - significantly lighter than my current one (sub 8/9 lbs) and $1k or less.

She asked me a couple follow-up questions and for some key measurements, and recommended the BAM Hightech Shamrock. Her responses were very fast and incredibly detailed - she is definitely very knowledgeable. I ended up ordering her recommendation from her and I love it! Shipping was fast and pricing fair. Thanks Ellen!

I wish I could give Cellos2Go more than 5 stars, Ellen the owner is amazing. My daughter has been playing cello for a while and we needed to upgrade her cello. I spent hours researching online, and went to every music store in the city. Cellos2go was our last stop and I wish it had been our first. Ellen is a " cello whisperer". Her wealth of knowledge on cellos is unbelievable.

At our initial visit I would say we spent about 2 hours with her, she let my daughter try multiple cellos in our price range. She also let her try different strings and bows to show the difference those changes make. She was super patient and there was 0 pressure to buy. In the end we ended up purchasing an instrument my daughter loves and I don't have to spend anytime second guessing my purchase. If you're looking for a cello, do yourself a favor and go here first!
