Services
Since 1985, Kathryn Brickell Music has been offering the finest in-home and in-studio music lessons, serving students in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. With over 25 years of success, KBM is one of this country's most experienced providers of quality music lessons for students ages 3 to adult.
We feel it is important to create a compatible student-teacher relationship to ensure the student enjoys learning music. Some students have a preference for a male or female teacher and some will get along better with a teacher who has a certain type of personality. Some students want a teacher who specializes in a specific genre (classical, pop, rock, jazz, etc.), or perhaps the student has special needs. As a general rule, the student must learn how to read music notation as well as the correct position of hands and body.
Share the joy of music lessons with the talented local in-home or in-studio music teachers at Kathryn Brickell Music. Kathryn Brickell Music has served the local New York areas of Long Island, Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens and New York City for over 25 years. As a well-established and successful music school, we are able to attract the best of the New York Metro area's local music instructors.
Kathryn Brickell Music prides itself on our music lessons for adults programs. We often hear "it's too late", but that could not be farther from the truth. We had an 89 year old adult student who progressed quite well on the flute and we had a 59 year old student for violin who practiced 20 minutes a day for a year and also saw great results.

This is our second time using a teacher from this company and our kids are enjoying both teachers. We asked for a piano teacher for our 8 year old daughter and a year later she is playing nicely and looks forward to her lessons each week. Her teacher, Grace, is creative in dealing with our daughter who usually has a difficult time sitting still but will sit for Grace. Grace will engage our daughter with little games and rewards for her accomplishments.

Our son who is 10, started sax lessons several months ago and he's also doing well. Joshua, our sax teacher, is preparing our son for a school concert in the spring and we are seeing great progress.
