Be a good place for a music shop that sales and buy instruments but they can't do anything but sale with out the manager so if u need to sale something don't go here

Friendly attentive staff, but not a single guitar cleaning product of any kind except what they had open for their own use. Don't really understand that. Part of owning an instrument is maintenance

The folks at Art's are top notch people who were incredibly helpful and most importantly, expressed themselves to be true enthusiasts of music themselves. They may be "salesmen", but they came off more as highly knowledgeable fellow shoppers that had very straightforward and non-salesy opinions of the Breedlove acoustics and G&L electrics I was looking into.

I had a really fun time trying out at least 10 different guitars in a relaxed but helpful atmosphere. Importantly, every guitar they had on the wall was expertly setup with appropriately filed nuts, adjusted saddles, and perfect relief on the necks. The Breedlove Organic Series Concerto I purchased was legitimately came as perfectly setup as you can get right off the display wall. I just with they had a store in my hometown of New Orleans, LA.

Super helpful! I needed some help with the pegs on my violin. Not only did they fix the pegs, they also tuned it for me, got a better fit for my chin rest, and helped me find a neck rest for around $20. Definitely going back here if I need anything else!

Probably one of, if not the best music store in the Birmingham area. They market towards musicians of all kinds - beginner to semi-professional/professional. Very clean establishment and helpful/knowledgeable staff. If you're looking for a great place to fill most all your music needs, look no farther, you've found it here!

Repair shop - especially the woodwind tech, Brian, since I'm a sax player - are fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the workings of the instrument and willing to work with you on modifications. I've taken several saxophones for full overhauls and they are lightyears better than before. Even when I move I will try and get work done here if I can.

I visited Art's Music Shop for the first time last week, and I was very impressed with the professionalism of those who worked there and the great selection of instruments and music! Kayci Greer was very helpful and knowledgeable about my flute that needed repair! Their prices are also wonderful! Their dedication to excellence is inspiring!

Expensive! Go online! When I left the store I thought the price seemed high. When I went home to price compare online I found I paid double what any online store was asking for the exact same item. I will not be going back. I'm pretty sure I was ripped off. On a positive note, they will order items they do not have in stock. Granted they will be paying a lot less than you though.

Friendly & knowledgeable but took longer than expected to get instrument serviced. I was told would be called the next day with estimate, & it was 3 days before I received the call. I told them I had to get instrument back by a specific date for a performance, he said "not a problem", I was calling them to get it back 4 days before performance, & was able to pick it up the day before it. They kept it for a month, & I was never able to speak directly to guy doing service which was not cheap. Don't be in a hurry when dealing with them!

I've been to every music shop in the area (that I know of) Guitar Center, Bailey Brothers, Homewood Musical Instrument Co, Highland Music, etc. I'll be honest, unfortunately it's a pretty lackluster experience no matter where you go around here. I wish it wasn't the case, but it's true. Different reasons why with different stores, but I will say the one time I went into Art's Music Shop, it was a great experience. No issues at all, the staff was polite, and the store inventory was pretty decent. Their guitar tech is also great. Trust me, you can do a lot worse than Art's. :)

Absolutely love this store! I always believe in going and buying local when you can, so the fact that Art's was founded in Montgomery was a huge plus. Way better to go local than a huge chain store like Guitar Center. Bought my first guitar here a couple years ago. It was on sale and the gentleman that helped me was so nice and answered all my questions. I'm still playing that same guitar and I'm there once a week for a lesson (they also helped put me in touch with my instructor). Also, simple maintenance on my guitar is free because I bought it there, which is fantastic.

I buy strings, they'll put them on and give my guitar some TLC. I've known the employees there for over two years now and can say they are a great group of people. In my opinion, they go above and beyond to help everyone that walks through their door. If I was ever to buy another instrument, no doubt I'll be going here. If you ever have a problem, I'm confident they'll take great care of you if you bring it to their attention. They are the best!

They are the company that came to our daughters school all the way in Valdosta Ga. We were new to the area and band itself. Totally trusted in them to do by right by us and feel totally ripped off. They are WAY overpriced and after our home finances took a hit they would not even take it back. We are paying $60 a month which a normal place would charge $20.

We have to ship it back after 121 days even though a representative comes to our daughters school? More money we do not have. The lady said if we ship we can monitor shipping and know it gets back to them. Do the not trust their employees enough to return the instrument. SMH.

WAY overpriced for poor quality. Shop up the road at GC (they'll price match just about anyone) or go online. Only go here if you need it today and there are NO other options. Also, Art's rental policy is absurd and overpriced; you can rent an instrument for your kid anywhere else, including online with free shipping, for much less than Art's. I don't know how they're in business.
