In 1962, The Johnny Lewis Trio played the Seattle World's Fair and, from 1963 to 1965, played at the Tyee Motor Inn. During this time, Johnny began teaching music lessons at the Lacey Music Center on Pacific Avenue, owned by the Torrence family. In 1966, Johnny purchased Lacey Music Center. The purchase included the store, an old church on the corner of the property, and nine acres bordering Carpenter Road. In 1969, Johnny met Ruth Brown and her four children: Steve, Jeff, Tracey, and Dana. By 1970, Ruth and the four kids began working in the store.

All payments for rentals MUST be made with the card you bring in. We cannot except cash or checks for rental payments. Your 1st payment will include the current month plus the next month due at pickup.

Kris Edenholm has quickly become the go to person for Band Teachers in the area. Kris can work on just about any instrument, and you can be assured of a professional repair in a timely manner. Kevin Hilbiber has been repairing electronics, amps, and keyboards since the Mid 1980's. He has owned his own repair business (Softscience Amplification) and worked for various music stores in the PNW, before finding his way to Music 6000. We restring your guitar (strings are an extra cost), and clean the frets, body, and fretboard on the guitar.
Lessons
Report
Lessons are typically offered at $80 per month / $20 per lesson (one half hour lesson per week). Some instructors have different rates - Please call the store or contact our teachers for more information. Teaching emphasis: reading, style interpretation, feel interpretation, touch, musicianship, and solo development.
