Your Trusted Source for Violins & Music Lessons in Boise
Founded in 1967 by Leah and Jim Telford, our business began as a small violin repair shop in Boise, Idaho. Recognizing the need for quality instruments and personalized service, we expanded our offerings to include rentals, sales, and music lessons. Jim's dedication to craftsmanship led him to formal training in Chicago, where he studied under master restorer Zenon Petesh. Today, led by the Telford family and long-time employees, we continue to prioritize playability, proper fit, and student success. Our rental program ensures every child receives a properly sized instrument, while our 12-month no-interest purchase plan makes ownership accessible. With over five decades of combined experience, our team of certified instructors provides tailored lessons for all skill levels. We maintain an extensive inventory of accessories and serve students across Boise through our commitment to quality and education. Our legacy of excellence endures through Leah Telford's former students and the generations of musicians we've supported.

Great selection of cellos! I stopped in to have my cello bow re-haired, the gentleman behind the counter was excellent! He let me know my bow still had plenty of life left and instead I spent time playing their lovely selection of cellos! If you think they only do violin, you're missing out!

Great people with long term experience in classical instruments. Very knowledgeable and patient. Upgraded my daughter's violin from student to concert, with full price trade in for the student violin.

Friendly and professional staff! I had my father's violin strings and the bow hair replacement with other adjustments because it is an old Bernadel violin which was left for years! It took them two days to do the work! It is recommended!

Very friendly staff. I went in to get my violin checked out. The rep did not charge me for it but did give me some advice. I will return again.
