I purchased a Yamaha 52 UX3 Studio Upright from Piano Outlet. I actually visited Russell's work shop before purchasing. I was impressed with the level of craftsmanship and detail that goes into preparing each piano, especially the grand pianos. The piano arrived in wonderful condition, better than new as I prefer the 80s and early 90s U3s over the new ones. I will be visiting Piano Outlet when I am in the market for a grand piano.

I purchased a Yamaha C3 from Piano Outlet sight unseen. It's, truth be told, a big purchase for a scruff like myself. Admittedly because of the times we are in currently things are taking a little longer, but this piano with all the work they put into it prior to shipping came to me ready to play. I am so happy with the sound, the touch and the overall experience I get when I play. Saying I am pleased that I found Piano Outlet is an understatement. I very much recommend Piano Outlet and Russell. If I need another piano someday, I will be calling him first.

I recently took delivery of a Yamaha upright that Russell completely rebuilt and finished for me. He expertly installed the latest PianoDisc, something that is "impossible" to do properly on an upright piano. He has mastered The Impossible; the finished product is better and more beautiful than I had ever imagined. Russell is an old-school artist and perfectionist, and he has created a Masterpiece. If I could give him 10 stars here I would do it in a heartbeat. Thank You!

I decided to call because the name "Piano Outlet" sounded like the right place to buy my daughters first piano. I tried to check out the website first, but it wasn't working, so I decided to call and give the owner a heads up, to which she seemed appreciative. When I mentioned my budget and what I was looking for, I was surprised to be on the receiving end of a grandiose, condescending rant. Apparently, it was both hilarious and insulting of me to call "a business like his" with a measly budget of a grand.

Go figure. He went on about how he only sells $25K pianos and that I should probably just go to Craigslist, or better yet, just get her a kid's keyboard and "be done". A simple and polite clarification would have sufficed, but ridiculing and calling your female customers "sweetie" while you mansplain is wildly disrespectful and misogynistic. If you are exclusively selling specialty pianos, think of a better name that reflects it!

Or hire someone who isn't easily triggered to handle inbound calls because this customer service ain't it. He got two stars because he seemed kind of pleasant for the two minutes before my budget offended him.

I never thought that I would buy a piano online without checking it in person but this was the case since I had already played a Yamaha G3 and the value added by Piano Outlet was hard to pass up. With the pandemic raging I placed my order and hoped for the best. Actually, I had a high level of trust in Russell after speaking with him a few times and listening to his videos. COVID and a rain delay pushed out the delivery date but the big day finally arrived. The piano is exactly what I expected and as advertised. The interior and external cabinet look brand new. The sound and action are wonderful. No regrets whatsoever.

I had an old keyboard that I have been using to practice and finally, last year around October, I was able to save and buy a baby grand piano. I found this place, Piano Outlet. They have so many inventory that is kinda overwhelming. After spending time looking for a piano that suits for me. I finally found a piano (C5) i like. After 4 weeks, I received my piano and it looks like brand new! They replaced the strings too. Still so happy with the purchase!

I recently went the process of purchasing a Yamaha grand piano. It took over a year and I had a database of 22 different pianos that I considered, talked to 4 dealers plus private parties and Russell was by far the most helpful! Straight talking and educational with both pros and cons of buying from him. His prices and processes for restoration were the best I found. I particularly appreciated his knowledge of pianos with tech and letting me know what to expect. I think I've watched at least 50 of his videos!

Back in April I contacted Russell about a Yamaha piano that I had seen on his listing (a G2). I initially was going to order but backed out because of my concern of it being a Japanese piano. I contacted him because something didn't seem right. I've owned many musical instruments over the years, including Schecter guitar made in korea. The concern about Japanese pianos if you're not aware is that they will break down / crack because they are not accommodated for the United States weather.

Obviously for something that cost $10,000 this is not something you want to risk. I researched it and obviously many musical instruments come from various parts of the world. Just like Colorado is to Florida there's locations in Japan that are not all by the ocean. We discussed with out daughter's piano teacher this concern. It just seemed like a statement right out by a Yamaha United States to get you to pay 3 to 4 times for the exact same piano.

Also people of said these pianos are not repairable with genuine Yamaha parts etc and no on will be able to access parts. I again reached out to Russel and he provided me many photos of actual parts that he brings his pianos back to new condition. When we got the piano we were struck by its impeccable condition. The thing literally looks brand new minus a few scratches (none external).

Several weeks after we receive the piano we had a tuner come in and evaluate and tune it. Other than being out of pitch / tune due to new strings he said this thing was immaculate. He says he has seen many restrung instruments and can tell if they've been restrung poorly. He said this thing was amazing and how it's been restrung. C2 cover still fits the G2 as the C2 replaced G2.

Literally every part of this piano has been restored to like new condition. It is so beautiful to watch the internal workings of this complicated instrument as our daughters play this thing. I know it's a large investment but I highly recommend Russell if you decide to purchase something so expensive.

I got a beutiful Baby Yamaha C1 from Piano Outlet, and I'm very pleased with Mr Housen he's not just a great Owner Business but he also is a great player he will always play a song so you can hear the sounds of your future instrument. There is many reason why I would highly recommend this store: first you will get a beautiful piano half of price you buy it brand new and the piano will look like brand new, why because piano outlet takes very good care of what they sell, they cleaned every inch of the piano.

Remember one thing this pianos are used eventhough they look like new there not. So if you're looking for a very nice piano as a instrument or piece of furniture for a very low price this is the place you won't regret it.

In August of 2019 I decided to sell my 6' Yamaha PianoDisc system purchased from Russell Housen at his store: Piano Outlet. During the moving process the movers discovered the piano itself had been previously extensively damaged and repaired making the total value of the piano with the piano disc system worth now only a total of about $9,000. This of course distressed me since Mr. Housen of Piano Outlet has ostensibly sold a well treated piano plus PianoDisc system to me for $18, 000 in October of 2017.

The movers showed me the areas where the damages had been done and repaired and how to detect them using a flashlight properly. The piano otherwise looks and sounds very good. The other item the movers noted on close inspection was that one of the legs was likely not part of the original piano. In Mr Housen's marketing material he states that his pianos were essentially showpieces, meaning they were placed in homes for looks; rarely played; and otherwise just sat in people's homes.

Yet when Mr. Housen was reminded that his piano arrived lacking paint on the black keys due to extensive playing, he stated that he would send me a bottle of paint so I could paint the keys! Accordingly, I am not happy with Piano Outlet and it's proprietor and have given the store at 3775 NW 124th Avenue Coral Gables, South Florida 33063 a rating of one star (*).

Two weeks ago, just as the Christmas shopping crunch was heating up, Russell was still able to arrange for my "new" 1992 Kawai GE-1 to be delivered ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. If you're interested in fancy showrooms, look elsewhere. If you want to benefit from Russell's ability to source competitively priced pianos (especially a large selection of used Yamahas and Kawais) make an appointment with him and head to Coral Springs!

On my first visit, I came to look at some U3s Piano Outlet had advertised online. After about an hour of tinkering back and forth and just as I was on my way out, I noticed some petite baby grands. 5' 1". small enough to fit comfortably in the corner of my living room. They were in a beautiful, natural walnut finish. Gorgeous. I mentioned to Russell that my preference was for shiny black.

That was on a Saturday. By Wednesday I received a text saying that he had found a candidate. By Friday another text announcing the Kawai's arrival at his shop. The next day, Saturday, I went to see what he was raving about and we sealed the deal. Fast forward two weeks: Dave Tabachnick, a reputable local piano tech, came for a first tuning. He confirmed that the piano is in excellent condition, has little wear, and tunes, sounds and plays like new.

I absolutely LOVE my piano from Bob at the Outlet. He was wonderful to work with and his people helping to move were marvelous. The free tuning after two weeks really blew me away! Who gives this kind of service today? I would highly recommend buying from him. His inventory is quality. My used piano looks new and has unbelievably good sound.thanx Piano Outlet.

I was really excited and nervous about buying my first piano. I had been playing on a old hand me down! Yuck! I started shopping around locally and was extremely disappointed as the pressure to buy "any" piano in the store was just as bad as going to a car dealership. I began looking online for piano retailers outside my area of Vero Beach. I came across Russel from the piano Outlet and watched many of his videos on different pianos.

I happened to have to make a trip to south Florida so I decided to go see Russel not thinking I would really buy a piano that day! My husband and I were so impressed with his warehouse and his knowledge of pianos! We never felt any pressure to buy. We felt being in his warehouse was more of a learning experience! Feeling very blessed as I am now the owner of a Yamaha UX3 and loving it! Dealing with Russel was easy from start to finish. I would definitely recommend the piano Outlet to anyone in need of a great piano!

I purchased a 28 year old Yamaha G2 from the Piano Outlet located in Coral Springs Florida. People thought I was crazy for purchasing a piano so far away and without seeing it or playing it. When my piano arrived, words cannot express the excitement I felt when I saw my G2 for the first time. Did I purchase a used 28 year old piano? Were my eyes deceiving me?

Maybe Russel sent me a new piano by mistake? Even the movers thought it was a new piano. The finish was as perfect as a new piano and when I sat down and played, WOW, the sound, tone and touch was absolutely beautiful. My own piano tech was so impressed with the finish and the quality of workmanship that was delivered. Russel from the Piano Outlet was always available to answer questions and kept me updated with pictures showing the progress of the restoration.

He delivered more than is stated in his videos and invoice. He is an honest person with devotion and pride in the work he does and the product he delivers. If you are looking to purchase a piano the Piano Outlet is the place to go. You won't be disappointed. Russel, you are the best! The quality and detail you deliver is impeccable. Thank you very much for this treasure that I will enjoy for many years! George from New Jersey.

Let me begin this review by saying that if you are going to purchase a piano from Russell and the pianooutlet in Florida you must exercise great patience. The process will probably take 2 to 3 months and the delivery could take another month. I purchased a Kawai grand piano from him and when it arrived was slightly damaged on the fall board. I contacted him and he sent a technician out from another state and took care of the problem immediately.

The piano is very nice came polished and looking brand new and was very satisfied with his work. As far as communication goes when you write him he will respond otherwise don't expect any updates about your piano until it is basically ready. I would not hesitate buying another piano from Russell.

We went to see/try A LOT of different pianos that we found for sale on Craigslist and/or Facebook, as well as in music stores and piano galleries. We were about to give up finding the perfect piano at the perfect price, when we came across this gem of a place! We love the selection and service at Piano Outlet, Inc! Russell Housen, the owner, is a down-to-earth & trust-worthy professional.

He takes the time to educate his customers, and takes into consideration their piano skills/level, potential, and genre preference so that they can make informed decisions. He takes pride in explaining how he runs his business, and answers any questions/concerns in an honest, matter-of-fact fashion.no fluff or "bologna" in this place! PLUS.drum roll please.he does NOT pressure his customers or harass them into buying a piano in any way! BONUS: He is also an extremely talented concert pianist; he knows this beautiful melodic instrument well, and has a true passion for it! If you need more convincing, check out his YouTube videos for more information and educational videos! Go see Russell at Piano Outlet, Inc.you won't be disappointed!

Interested in a piano and decided to visit Piano Outlet, tucked away in a corporate park a little hard to find but when we finally made it we were amazed at the selection! We were also surprised to see classic cars as well, it was more like a museum than a showroom. Russell the owner took his time with us and showed us all the different models and the work that is performed on each and every instrument.

No other piano company we visited showed us what to look for. We did not buy anything today since a new shipment is arriving from Japan next week so we decided to wait and Russell agreed, no high pressure to buy like every other place. We spent nearly 2 hours there and can't wait to return for our final decision and purchase!

After looking for 6 months or more for a great deal on a used Yamaha C7 I thought I would never find the right piano. So much for Craigs list! Lucky for me the Piano Outlet is right here in South Florida as I was able to see the huge warehouse and endless selection of every model Yamaha ever built. I was immediately impressed with Russell, He knows his stuff and happens to be a phenomenal pianist.

We chose a C7 that was completely restrung and detailed to where it looked and plays brand new for a fraction of the cost! My friends thought I lost my mind buying a brand new $70k piano! Thanks Russell!

My beautiful grand piano arrived yesterday. The arduous work put into this instrument is evident and it truly surpassed my expectations by a long shot. Procuring this piano is a dream come true for me and it's all because of Russell Housen. He put his blood, sweat, and tears into his work and I can tell he has a strong passion for pianos. It lucidly demonstrates why he's been in the business for over twenty years.

If anyone quests to acquire the mellifluous instrument of the pianoforte, Russell Housen is the best in the industry and no one else has as strong of a passion than Russell does in his work. Thank you Russell for your time and great effort, you are inspirationally talented!

We purchased a refurbished Yamaha grand piano over the internet from Russell Housen at the Piano Outlet in Florida last fall. It was a leap of faith because we live in Arizona and couldn't see or really hear the piano, let alone play it, before it arrived. But we were impressed with his passion for high quality instruments and knowledge of pianos as an accomplished pianist.

His price for a completely refurbished piano was also unbeatable. He did explain that the refurbishing process, like other aspects of the piano industry, takes time, and the piano took longer than expected to arrive. We also experienced a problem with the piano due to the much drier climate in Arizona than Florida. However, Russell stood behind it and worked with us to correct it, even shipping us a different and upgraded piano at his expense to correct the problem.

Although shipped across the country, the piano arrived with no problems and is immaculate and plays beautifully; It is like a brand new piano. If purchasing from Piano Outlet here are some suggestions: 1) Don't be in a hurry; the wait is worth it. 2) Communicate your expectations clearly for what you are looking for in a piano, such as how you want it to play and what sort of sound you are looking for, what you are used to, etc. 3) If anything isn't right, communicate that to Russell and be patient.

My experience is that he really wants to have happy customers and will make every effort to address any reasonable issue you may encounter. I believe our experience with having to replace the first piano was an exceptional one, and for us it was a trying one. But in the end it was well worth it and we are extremely happy with our purchase both for the quality and the price. Based upon our experience, I have no problem recommending the Piano Outlet to others.

We worked with Russell over the last four months to acquire the right piano for our family's need and budget. Russell quickly zeroed in on the size and type of piano we wanted and after a short wait located a perfect piano for us, which was a 2001 Yamaha C1. Given the age of the piano we didn't expect perfection but obviously we wanted a piano that was well refurbished and free of any major defects.

When the piano arrived our expectations were far exceeded as the piano was nothing short of pristine--in fact, the piano movers thought the piano was a new model. The piano is absolutely spotless, immaculately cleaned and quite simply stunning in our home. If you're looking for excellent value in a piano and have the patience to let Russell find and prepare a piano for you, we can't recommend him any more highly. Thank you Russell, we're sure this piano will be in our family for many years to come.

After looking at the ad on eBay and talking to him on the phone with me and one of my investors, we both felt we were misled and that the piano was already refurbished. We were a little disappointed to find out that this process takes place after they receive your money which is something we would have liked to know up front. When I explained this to him he was not apologetic even slightly and became very defensive.

He said to allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery and it took 9 and 1/2, and even admitted to me that he felt he sent the piano sooner than he should have so I guess my question is: Why did he say 6 weeks when there was a strong possibility of it taking longer, quite simply this was very dishonest. I would be very hesitant to recommend this company to my friends or family, however, it was the best deal I could find at the time and the fact that they refurbished the piano with new action and new strings was what sealed the deal for me.

If you can't find a better deal anywhere else just be prepared. Don't expect great customer service because when it comes to this aspect of business, this guy is clearly an amateur. When I did finally receive the piano there were two very significant scratches on it, one of the dampers was broken, and the soft pedal was off axis. When I complained about the damages on the piano and about it arriving three weeks later than promised, rather than being apologetic, he began to lecture me, telling me that I should be happy with what I have.

It was very strange, I've never experienced anything like that. The damper and foot pedal were under warranty, a week after I complained I contacted him and he told me he forgot to contact a technician, 2 weeks later a piano technician finally called me but at that point, I had waited too long and had already paid for a technician myself, it was a much better experience than having to talk with this shallow salesman for any additional time of my waking life. If this is the best deal you can find than be weary.

After watching some impressive youtube videos online by Russell the owner (who seems to also be a competent technician and an amazing pianist) I decided to buy a Yamaha C3 from him. I loved the idea that the Yamaha pianos that he sold were completely refurbished with new strings and completely overhauled and also that they could install a Pianodisc IQ player system for me.

I worked out all of the details with him and got him to provide me a price in writing for what I wanted. After I agreed to the price two days later he said he could not do it for the quoted price. That night he called back and said he in fact would honor the price he quoted me because it was the end of the month before thanksgiving and he wanted to generate sales.

I received and invoice. I emailed him back agreeing to the price that evening and asked if I could make two separate payments because my credit card could not support the charges in one single payment. I heard nothing back from him. I waited a couple days with no response (thinking he was on thanksgiving holiday) and finally called twice today to find out he "apologetically" sold the piano to some one else.

This was after being invoiced! Russell apologized for not even letting me know and explained how chaotic it was for him in addition to dealing with some family health issues. Russell seems like a very nice guy and Im definitely sorry that there was turmoil in his life but I also feel pretty disappointed to be neglected as a customer. It was a pretty big leap of faith for me to even consider buying a 16k piano sight unseen so this did not leave a good taste in my mouth. From all of the reviews I have read on eBay, Russell seems to have a good reputation and maybe I'm just i a small minority that fell through the cracks! Dave
