Wow. The scope of the capabilities that this shop has to offer is insane. There's not a single thing these guys can't do for your guitars. Passionate enthusiasts.

Great first time experience with a luthier, don't be shy to let them know what you need. The guys there are very kind & professional, and they'll treat you like family

Ned's provides friendly, prompt and professional service. I had a classical guitar's bridge adjusted and all is well. I plan to go back and have some custom work done.

Best guitar shop I've ever been to. Two of the nicest guys (including the owner), answered all my questions and inspected my guitar and gave me a run down of everything they'd set up / fix. Gave me pricing and a rough estimate as to when I could expect to get my guitar back. For any guitar upgrades or service and/or repairs, I'll solely be going to Nedd's Guitars from here on out. 6/5 Stars.

These dudes are real pleasant to deal with. Got my cousin's bass playing better than it did 12 years ago. They do real good work, I am a loyal fan now. Big ups yall.

These guys ROCK! They have years of experience and do phenomenal work. Plus, they are the friendliest people. If you have guitar issues, do not go anywhere but here.

I have been fighting with the setup on my Telecaster for nearly 5 years. I've taken it to a couple other guitar shops and also worked on it myself trying to get the action nice and low without fretting out and having dead spots. I have never been 100% happy with it, so I took it to Nedd Guitars as a last effort to see if this guitar could work for me. Two days at Mike's shop and now it plays like butter. I now see why Nedd Guitars has such a great reputation. They are going to get all my guitar work from now on.

Just got my hands on a 2001 Strat that really needed some work. Took it to Mike Nedd in Conroe, TX and now it plays better than new. Seriously, any time you get a new guitar (meaning new to you) please take it to someone like Mike who can give it a first class setup, fret dressing, etc. You won't be sorry.

A lot of music store owners do a bit of guitar work and offer basic services, but very, very few have the skill needed and technical understanding to build a guitar from scratch, I'm not talking about a kit guitar, but the wood carving, fret work, inlay work, pro finish, etc. Mike Nedd is the real deal! When you visit the front of his shop, you might just get a peek into the back where you'll see what you'd expect from a clean, modern wood working shop and the quality of his guitars speaks for itself.

Just ask him to show you one of his works and about his background. I've not yet ordered one of his custom guitars, but Mike also does the typical repairs and upgrades that you'd expect from a lutheir, I had him do some work for me and I'm so happy with his attention to detail and transparency on things that he's the only person I will use. As with any highly sought out professional you might have to wait a bit on turn around time, but Mike was up front with me about that as well. Highest recommendation.

I work at guitar center, so I've seen some crazy good jobs done on guitars, but when I was gifted my Martin I was SHOCKED it wasn't our technician. It was so flawless & beautiful to play! I'm super picky, & it made me just love the guitar even more; like it was first sight all over again! I intend on visiting this place personally, so I can have a vintage classical set up! Amazing job Mike!

I brought Mike a vintage Gibson mandolin for a total refret and new nut. I am extremely picky about details and Mike nailed it! Vintage mandolins are not exactly his bread and butter but he got it dead right and paid attention to all the little things. Great job, great price!

The owner is super nice and extremely knowledgeable. He restrung my guitar in about 10 minutes and even offered to teach me how to do it myself. I highly recommend using Nedd for any of your guitar needs.

Yo this guy is legit good at what he does. At first I thought he talked a lot but he has a lot of valuable information to give you. I picked up the basics with in 4 weeks and he had me playing a song within two. I was only in town for 6 weeks and Mike was more than happy to get me started. I'd happily recommend him to anyone and if I'm in houston again I'd come back to him to keep on learning.

I'm completely surprised Nedd Guitars has only one review, and especially that it's negative. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but any review blatantly pushing another shop always seems suspect to me. As is usually the case I would expect there are two sides to this story. Anyway.on with the review. I'm a relatively new guitar player, having taken lessons for about a year. Nedd Guitars was highly recommended by my instructor (a professional musician), and every other player I'd run into.

After hearing so much praise I decided to go ahead and drop off two guitars for setups (acoustic and electric). Judging by the number in the shop he was obviously busy, but Mike sat down and took time to explain what he would be doing. He gave me a reasonable price, and told me when it would be finished. After picking them up and getting them home the difference was immediately obvious.

I saw a very noticeable difference in playability and sound quality. I've now brought all of my guitars to Mike, and have recommended him to numerous friends. They've all been impressed with both his attitude and quality of work. I'd highly recommend you take a trip out there and see for yourself.

Mike Nedd is one of the better lutiers in town. He is highly recommended by Rusty Cooley and does all of Rusty Cooley's guitar work. Mike also makes his own guitars and the look quite good. He is very well educated in guitar tech. Mike's office is very clean and cool, comfortable and professional. If you're up in his neighborhood, he is a good choice.

He gets your guitar back in a timely manner. He has a great positive friendly voice. In and out, no fuss. OK. Now the negative. He's more expensive than most, he's not near the center of Houston, so you have to drive up there. Also if you try to ask him about details of his work (in the effort of doing some simple work yourself) he act as if he's a magician and what he did is his secret ("but pay up"), as if youtube doesn't have the answer anyway.

Another negative is one of his anger management. One day he was having a bad day I guess and when I asked him to expedite my order because I needed the instrument for a recording, he exploded and said a number some nasty things to me over and over. I won't go into details buy he made derogatory remarks to me for 5 minutes straight and at the end of his yelling, told me to bring my guitars over and then hung up.

I started making the long drive there, called him to let him know I was on the way and he started up again for another 10 minutes of derogatory remarks. All this because I asked for an expedited order? I politely told him never mind and turned back home. I don't mind paying for a rush order but I DO mind THE PERSON I'M PAYING verbally abuse me and tell me what a rotten person I am.

What business owner yells at their customer? This is bad business. But we all have our days I guess, especially the busy guitar techs. A final negative is that Mike Nedd does miss important adjustments that could be important to a professional recording or performance. When I took my guitars to Ron Pace I realized Mike had missed a lot of important things in the past year. Which is why I haven't gone back.
