A friend of mine referred me to this place. They did a great job setting one of my guitars & repairing the crack on the other one. They did it well & I trust their workmanship. The place is clean, cool, & looks professional.

Amazing work! I've been a local musician in town for a long time. I had an old guitar that had been given to me by my dad 15 years ago. The bridge had split and the bridge plate cracked. I had a friend tell me to go to another luthier in town first, and was told that it was "unfixable" and "it would make a nice centerpiece but would never play music again".

Although this guitar isn't the nicest, most expensive thing in the world, its sentimental value to me is priceless and even more so since my dad passed away in 2020. I was heartbroken to think I would never be able to play it again. After hearing that, I took it to Mcluthier's to get a second opinion, I didn't tell him I had took it to another place just a hour earlier, John came up with the same diagnosis and told me he could have it fixed in two weeks.

He had it fixed exactly on time, for an affordable price, and when he couldn't find a comparable bridge to the one that was on it, he made a new one by hand. I picked it up from the shop with new bridge pins and strings on it, and playing it when I got home, it sounded better than it ever has. I would recommend Mcluthiers to any of my friends and will come back here the next time I need work on any of my guitars and basses.

Had a crack in my guitar which was taken care of promptly and he sold me a humidifier. Took it home not realizing he had also cleaned my guitar and fretboard as well as replace my strings. Excellent.

John filed and rounded several frets, replaced the saddle and adjusted the action on my Martin DC-18. All the work was topnotch.

I just brought in my new acoustic to McLuthier's for a setup. Wow, did John do an amazing job! It is like a whole different guitar. Great (and speedy) service, affordable rates, and a friendly and incredibly professional proprietor. I'll be a repeat customer for sure!

Brought in my 5-string Peavey active bass having issues with wiring or the pots, John fixed it in no time on top of a set up and new strings. Great communication, easy to talk to, I will 100% be coming back with any instrument issues/set ups.

My acoustic needed to have its saddle shaved before adjusting the truss rod, and they did a great job getting the guitar playing better than new! I also appreciated the fast turn-around. Will always take my guitars to them for any work, big or small.

Mr. Mcluthierman (John) came recommended by my favorite and trusted music store (Tarpley's). I was disabled at that time and asked to him asked him to do the setup on my new Gibson Les Paul Traditional. I've played and worked on guitars for 44 years. John did excellent work at a fair price. Even though I am healthy now, he will work on all 5 of my guitars.

John has fixed up so many guitar problems I've had, he knows his trade very very well. I can not thank this guy enough for taking a warehouse generic POS guitar and turning it into something playable and worth owning. When GC and tarpley screw up. This man will fix it.

This shop is GREAT! I took my Paul Reed Smith in the day after Christmas with a set of the PRS Phase 3 locking tuners. My PRS had the Phase 1, and the routing for the screws were in the wrong place for the Phase 3, so they needed to be re-routed, and within an hour and a half, he had drilled out the holes, and had them fully installed. It only cost $25, and was perfectly symmetrical! He did a great job, and I would recommend this place to anyone in need of repair!
