This review is only for Illos' piano moving service--I'm sure that they do other things well, but can't speak to that. I had been looking for months to find a pump organ in Buffalo and when I did needed someone to pick it up and take it to my apartment in North Park. Illos took all my info by phone (type and size of instrument, stairs, entrances, etc.) and then gave me a quote that was a hundred bucks cheaper than anyone else I spoke with.
Come moving day, they were at the pickup location right at the beginning of the scheduled window, had it loaded up before I even realized they were there, glued some damage that they hadn't caused in order to stabilize a part, and then met me back at my apartment. There, they assessed the three possible ways in, got the organ up a half flight of stairs without having to take the railing off, loaded her onto a dolly, and had her where I wanted within minutes.
I am so glad that I paid pros instead of trying to move a heavy, fragile, 140-year-old musical instrument myself. Booking, communication, and service were all excellent. And I got this.

I sent my family piano directly from Albany to Illos in Buffalo. They made the process so easy picking it up and delivering it right back to my home. The piano was so run down, but it's a precious family heirloom. And thanks to Illos it now looks gorgeous and brand new! I could not be more pleased with their service and workmanship quality.

Illos restored my first piano 35 years ago. It was a 1923 Wurlitzer. They did a fantastic job! The pianos in our Sweet Home School District are all tuned by Illos. Complete professionalism and perfectly tuned! My school district purchased a great piano for my music room from Illos where they gave us a good deal on a quality piano. I have had Illos move many pianos for me over the years.
Always careful in what they are doing. I buy all my sheet music for my piano students at Illos. Their knowledgeable staff is always there to go above and beyond to help you find just the right fit for your student, order music and call you when it comes in. The owner is a man of integrity. I moved back in September. Had a very tight schedule. Got my closing date 5 days before my lease ended, and I only had 3 days to pack everything. Karen(I hope that was her name.), told her my situation and it's literally 2 minute drive to my new place. She was able to squeeze me in. The guys arrived on time. Very nice and professional. Reasonable price. Highly recommend them to anyone that needs a piano mover.

This is a family owned and managed business on Main and Hertel. They carry large and small pianos, all sorts of sheet music to use on them and give lessons too! They also tune and fix pianos. (Clearly they come to you to tune the piano.) They will buy your old piano if they can as well. Street parking.

These people know their business. Great range of pianos from beginner to concert. New pianos and restored grands - including Steinway. Professional friendly staff. No pressure. Beautiful showroom. You can watch pianos being repaired from the sidewalk. Sheet music and music gifts for sale. Beatles playing cards, anyone? Piano rentals and moving service also available. My daughter takes lessons here through an outside instructor and we have been very happy.
