Justin Boone began his path as a luthier over 20 years ago on a hot Georgia night when a conversation with a electric bass-making friend made a light go on over his head. Back at home he took out his cello and looked at it like he hadn't ever before. This is what he wanted to do. From there he studied violin making in Pennsylvania, returned to Georgia to work at Huthmakers Violins in Atlanta, and eventually found himself in Cremona, Italy. He studied with Edgar Russ and Georgio Grisales, making violins and eating some of the finest pizza known to man.
