Sure, we are happy to work with non profit, universitys and small groups needing special forms or paperwork. Sometimes (about 20% of the time) the bar(s) can't be repaired (depending on the nature of the crack). Typically, we recommend attempting the repair. A cracked bars is not stable and will often get worse over time (but not always).
Mostly pianos are tuned 440, but the stretch is different from one piano to the next because each Piano dictates its own signature stretch naturally during the tuning process (more on stretch below). Hertz (sometimes called cycles per second or CPS) is basically the total number of oscillations in a sound wave in one second.
