Creative Music Center is a full-service music retail store located on Main Street in Monroe, CT. The music store serves musicians of all ages and abilities throughout the Monroe, Newtown, Trumbull, Easton, Shelton, Oxford and surrounding communities in Fairfield County. We offer piano instruction, as well as music lessons for guitar, voice, drums, and other band and orchestral instruments, including violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, trumpet, trombone and French horn. Creative Music also offers instrument rentals, student and professional instrument sales, instrument repairs, sheet music and birthday parties.

Creative Music features 10 state-of-the-art lesson rooms, along with a multi-purpose room for recitals, clinics, summer camp and rock band. We also carry the best name brands in guitars and drums, including Yamaha acoustic guitars, Squier® by Fender electric guitars, Fender acoustic guitars, Dean and Luna guitars, Roland® amps and keyboards, and Pearl® drums. In band instruments, we carry only the best name brands, including Yamaha, Selmer, Jupiter, Bach, Buffet, Armstrong and Gemeinhardt.

We have intermediate and professional instruments, including Xeno trumpets, the new Bach Artisan Collection of trumpets, Selmer La Voix II and Reference 54 saxophones. We carry Buffet E-11 and R-13clarinets, the new Julian Bliss Leblanc Bliss clarinet, the new Amadeus® flute by Haynes and the new Spirit by Galway flute.

In strings, Creative Music stocks a wide range of student and performance level instruments from Eastman Strings, Yamaha and Amati.

Liz grew up playing the flute, alto sax and percussion. She studied flute performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music during her senior year of high school. She continued playing and performing in college, but after college, she switched gears, deciding to pursue a career as a journalist. She graduated from the Medill School of Journalism and then moved to New York City. After more than 20 years in the field, she retired from journalism to stay home with her kids. When both her kids were in school, she discovered a recently shuddered music store in the neighboring community of Monroe. Seeing an opportunity to return to her musical roots, she purchased the store and immediately began serving the musical needs of the area and surrounding communities. Liz's husband, a former trumpet player, is in the sports marketing business. Her two teenagers are involved in musical theater.

The store is always well stocked for back to school witch make my life much easer. I would give this store an A+. Would you recommend this business to a friend? I needed a quantity of an item they don't regularly stock, and they promptly ordered it and had it shipped to me.
