My son has worked for Collings for the last 15 years. They build quality instruments and are a great bunch of folks.

I've currently have 2 acoustic Collings guitars.1991 SJ Maple and 2003 CJ Rosewood. I have also owned a 2007 CJ MA. All of them have been great guitars. I have owned Martin D28s (brazilian) and several Guild D40 and one F50R. Collings wins hands down. Best acoustic guitar made in a factory in my opinion. Get one or two!

GREAT QUALITY GUITARS. EVEN THOUGH I DON'T PLAY, BUT WHEN YOU STROMB THE STRINGS IT ACTUALLY SOUNDS LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DOING. GREAT SOUND PRODUCTION. LOOK FORWARD INTO INVESTING IN ONE SOON. I KNOW TWO COUNTRY ARTIST PERSONALLY AND THEY SAID IT IS THE BEST STRINGS THEY HAVE EVER PLAYED.

Not only is their work top notch, but they also have truly amazing customer service. My order was accidentally misdirected, and it took no time for a representative (Tanya) to reach out to me, let me know what was going on, and even offered to send a free gift as the order was a present and wouldn't make it in time for Fathers Day due to the delay. Tanya answered all of my questions quickly, professionally, and sincerely. Extremely happy with this company.

These are the best built guitars around. If you are looking for that strong full sound it has to be a Collings. You can find them at Hill Country Guitars in Austin.

Went on a Tuesday and they hooked me up with a tour. It's really beautiful to see how humble this company is and how much time and effort goes in to a Collings guitar. The building is not marked and neither is the street. But if you go inside they'll show you around. Awesome!

Went on a factory tour recently. The factory is close to Southwest Austin. Great FREE tour! Guide and staff were all friendly. Learned a lot: everything from the woods selected for the guitars and mandolins to seeing how they are finished. If you play, or are interested in stringed instruments, I highly recommend a visit. If you don't own a Collings guitar, you will want to after seeing the quality of materials and craftsmanship of their products.

I have never been to the factory, but I have owned a Collings Soco Deluxe smeihollow for three years. it is my main guitar and it is the best guitar I have ever played(better than an original 1959 Les Paul I tried) I have played many Collings( I-35, 290, CL jazz, CL deluxe, 360, om-3, C10 etc) and they have all been amazing both in terms of quality and sounds.

I also think they sound even better after a few years of playing. Apparently Paul Simon tried out my guitar at Rudy's before I bought it. I am glad he didn't buy it! I am hoping to own another Collings in the near future. My youtube channel has some clips of me playing the guitar. http://www.youtube.com/76soco www.jostein-g.com
