Charley's Guitar Shop Charley's Guitar Shop has been buying and selling instruments and amplifiers in Dallas, Texas, for over 30 years. We also offer the most extensive guitar repair services in the area. Plus guitar lessons for any style. Charley's Guitar Shop was opened in 1976 by Charley Wirz, a lover of guitars and the people who played them.

Charley was instrumental in the establishment of the "vintage guitar" movement in North America. Unfortunately, Charley passed away in 1985, but the store that he began continues to serve the needs of musicians and the musical community.

I purchased a vintage Takamine from here a couple weeks ago. Every time I pick it up I fall in love with it all over again LOL. Seriously though, it was cleaned up and professionally set up by their awesome techs when it arrived. There are always amazing treasures you can find at this shop. not to mention the good folks who know what they're talking about that work here. Thanks guys!

I took my telecaster guitar because it needed adjustments. Caleb and Bryant are the two guitar techs that do all manner of repairs and maintenance on acoustic and electric guitars. Bryant had worked on a friend's brother in law's Martin D 28 guitar I played it and it played perfectly. The action on the strings was the perfect height from the neck, it tuned up and stayed in tune the entire time I played it. I don't know exactly what Bryant did to this guitar, had it been my guitar, I would've been a happy customer.

My dad went to this when the original Charlie was the owner. It was a great place to visit when I was a kid. And he took me with him. My dad is a local musician and has been since steve ray Vaughn went here. Since then it's gone down hill they lack customer service. And was very rude answering my questions pretty much acted like they didnt have time for me. And I was looking for an amp to buy. And just wanted to see what options I had. After they pretty much hung up on me. From now on guitar center is getting my business.

Fantastic place to visit and play a guitar you might love. Very knowledgeable staff and some great amps too. Some vintage and some new choices to pick from including Fender Custom Shop. A must visit if you love a 6 string

Nice little guitar shop in Dallas (they also sell mandolins, banjos, ukes, and double basses). I stopped in to drop off my banjo for some adjustments. The tech, Bryant, was knowledgeable about banjos (this seems to be a rarity in DFW). Thanks guys!

These guys helped me set up a 50-year-old bass guitar. They did so well by me that I just brought another one. A lot of outstanding -- VERY high quality used guitars, basses, amps. But they stand behind everything and will make it right. Thoroughly enjoyed going there.

Guitar Heaven. Great guys with a big heart ALWAYS hooking up starving musicians with no-charge extras. Perfect repairs and an exotic collection of electrical and acoustic guitars, amplifiers, pedals, and if you stick around you will probably catch a really good story or two.6 stars

Brought a guitar in for a restring & setup. They did a great job, let me know as soon as it was ready and got it back to me within a week. Playing great now. Good prices and answered all my questions, will be coming back in the future.
