Central Music is a Florida corporation that began in 1958. It was founded by Les Trubey and its first location was opened on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, Florida (explaining the name). The late 1950s through the early 1980s represent the peak of the home organ industry in the United States. In its beginning, Central Music represented the Wurlitzer brand of home organs and pianos for the Tampa Bay area of Florida. Shortly after its founding, Central Music also became the dealer for Rodgers Instruments to serve the musical needs of the area's churches.
For Basilicas to home studios, from classical to contemporary to gospel, and for budgets ranging from five thousand to five million, our array of organ products allows us to tailor the perfect instrument to suit your unique building, musical style and budget. You have come to the right place. Let us help you acquire your own "King of Instruments" today.
We understand that for many people, buying a piano is a once-in-a-lifetime purchasing decision. That's why it's essential to find a dealership that's able to offer you a significant selection of beautiful instruments, at the same time as having the in-depth knowledge you need to help you reach an informed decision.
Central Music's staff members are trained in the operation of the products we provide and they are available, by appointment, to assist our customers, and teach them how to get the most out of their product. It is our belief that all the great features of our instruments are worth more when they are fully understood and used to their potential.

Owner stood over me questioning about my income. Felt very unwelcoming. She claimed to do a lot of work with the church, but should probably read the Bible again. There are better piano shops where people welcome aspiring musicians.

Our committee looked at several organ installations and when we saw and heard the Rodgers in the showroom in Clearwater, there was no doubt that we would purchase the Rodgers. Installation and voicing were actually ahead of schedule. I will be playing my 3rd service Sunday, August 31 and my congregation is very, very happy with their new Rodgers - and so am I.

Having been a member of the Team of Central Music for many years, serving as Regional Manager for the Rodgers Church Organ Division in Southwest Florida, this great company is family to me. The combined experience of the sales and technical team is unsurpassed. There is no other company out there quite like Central Music, Inc.

Very disappointed with their after sales service. Sales manager did not honor his word. We bought a new piano from them. Sales manager told us we will have a first free tuning and clearly said he will send someone over to tune our piano. When we were told that he would send someone to tune our piano free for the first time, it is understood that everything will be taken care of by them, period, plus the sales manager already knew there is a distance between us when we purchased the piano with him.

Now he is telling us otherwise, giving reasons as to why he cannot send a tuner from his side. This is not the way to treat their client after they have just purchased a piano from them. Instead of making it a breeze for the client with the first free tuning as promised, it has become a hassle for the client now. Very disappointed with after sales service.

Very helpful and friendly sales staff and a great selection. I love giving mom and pop shops my business and this place certainly earned it!
