Current ownership (Ed Intagliata), has been in control since January 1978. We are your good ol' dependable family run music store. NO CORPORATE ATTITUDE OR PRESSURE HERE! We are full-line, meaning we carry guitars, drums, amps, keyboards, brass, woodwinds, ethnic percussion, accordions, violins, sheet music, etc., etc. We offer lessons and complete guitar and band instrument repair on site.

Hi! I'm Ed Intagliata the owner/manager of Cassell's Music. My father, Sal, and I bought the store from a retiring Al Cassell in 1978. The store has been in San Fernando, Ca. since 1947. Consequently, we have quite a long history with many of our local customers.

I graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1976 with a major in Music Education. After graduating, I worked for a season in the complaint department at Sears. During that time I had the tremendous opportunity to be trained by an organization that many consider to be the best in retail and customer service. Sears' training along with my music education and over 22 years in the music retail business has equipped me to provide what I believe is the utmost in customer satisfaction. The hundreds of regular customers I'm on a first name basis with can attest to that.

Acoustic Room We are proud of our acoustic guitar room we call the Acoustic Cabin. This humidity controlled room is the place we keep our better quality steel string acoustics, mandolins and classical guitars. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of L. A. and peacefully sample our lines of Dean, Garrison, Peavey, Gianinni, Alhambra, Cordoba, Lucida, Aparicio, Ramirez, Morgan Monroe, Luna, Olinda and other quality guitars. Rental Renting a musical instrument can often be a challenging and potentially frustrating experience for parents. There are many instruments, brands, and rental houses to choose from when deciding on an instrument rental. Unfortunately, there is very little information available to assist parents in this decision process. We have been renting musical instruments to students for many years.
