Very Very unhappy about their charge policy. I had to pay $15.95 for exchange a bigger size violin just around 1 months. When we rent the violin, I already ask isn't 1/4 too small for my daughter? They insisted on 1/8. Just had twice violin lessons, the teacher already said it's too small for my daughter! How can my daughter grow so much in an month! Highly doubt they did this on purpose to charge more! If I could give 0 star, I will!

Excellent service, very friendly staff. As a beginning adult player, I wanted to upgrade my current rental from another music shop, with an eye toward purchase. I was allowed to try different violins and made to feel very comfortable, the staff answered all my questions and helped me get just what I needed. Very much recommended for anyone needing a rental or purchase!

We have sent many students to Constantin for many years and the feedback has always been positive. Constantin, Marco and the rest of the crew are very knowledgeable and always provides the best service. Highly recommend for all your rental or purchasing needs.

This violin shop carries superior quality stringed instruments. My husband is a musician and we have rented from them for our children. Their instruments are definitely better than what you will find online at amazon or from most other rental shops that are not specialized in Stringed instruments. The staff has done a good job taking care of our instruments when we need things done, and the convenience of being able to rent instruments of this quality locally is very nice. This business is an asset for our community.

Good service. Took daughter to buy a new violin and had a great experience. Kind, experienced people. They spent a lot of time and made sure she was happy with her purchase.

While I understand that small businesses, especially during this time, need to survive and will need to have higher prices than online retailers, the prices at the shop are often at least double what you'll find at other local shops for online retailers. This price gouging for students and musicians is not worth it. I'd recommend visiting other reputable string shops in the area or going to Bob Isley in Rye.

As a professional musician and music educator, I cannot recommend going to this shop. If you're looking to support a local business, you can check out Robert Isley Violins in Rye or Philip Perret in Katonah. I have never been price gouged at either of those shops.

Atelier has been our music home for over 7 years and we feel truly blessed we have such a high quality string shop near us. All 3 of our children are string students (1 viola and 2 violins) and people at Atelier have gone above and beyond in helping us ensure that they have everything they need to learn and succeed. From repairing/replacing broken strings and bows to loaning instruments on short notice and connecting us with most wonderful string teachers, they have been there for us in every way.

We view them as our true partners in bringing music to our children's lives and we'd pay more than twice for their strings if that would help Atelier thrive because they are worth every penny of it and something that Greenwich community should endeavor to keep alive.

Good cellos, but not a fan of thier violins. It's mostly just personal preference, still much better instruments than cheaper rental places. Thier violins made me want to be a violist and that's not normal.

Atelier Constantin Popescu has always been a superb business for our family of three cellists. The owner and his staff are diligent and knowledgeable. They've taken a personal approach to placing the right string instrument in our children's hands. Constantin also connected us with our irreplaceable cello teacher. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks for all your years of help and advice.

This place is truly unique in every sense. Constantin carries a rich background of a top-notch professional musician (having performed with the New York Philharmonic among other groups) and an extremely experienced string instrument repairer and sound adjustment specialist. Having his roots in Romania, an amazingly musical country, complements his professional profile.

I have personally dealt with him and his business for many years, having also sent my students to rent, repair and purchase instruments there. Myself and my students and their parents have always had the most positive and highly professional feedback. Constantin imports the instruments from Europe which has a long and beautiful luthier tradition so the highest quality is expected and guaranteed.

I think, the Atelier is a real jewel in Connecticut, where both students and professionals can go with full confidence of receiving the highest quality of service and instruments saving on a trip to the city! Delete review
