The bags may be great, but exercise caution when dealing with this business. Their customer service absolutely sucks. I ordered from them in December of 2017 and received an email from "Donna" stating that and I quote "Thank you. We are wiped out due to the holidays and will make more in February". Nothing else at all in the email. I had to email them back to find out if they would be processing this order i.e. was it back ordered, would I need to reorder in February, etc. basic information.

She said yes, more will be made in February. It is now February and they charged my account on 2/9 for the bag and the only way I knew the order had processed was because I checked my account. I had no problem with them deducting, but they could have emailed stating such and letting me know shipping information etc. I had to email and ask for tracking because as of 2/20 it still was not received. "Donna" emailed back and stated that it was shipped 2/19 and provided a tracking number.

I had to email back asking if it was sent USPS, UPS, FedEx or what. She emails back stating USPS and tells me that they now charge immediately because they have a new website (welcome to the 21 century) but some customers have to wait up to 10 weeks for delivery. Hear me out here. I was not upset because of the wait time. I was upset with the lack of communication from the initial day of ordering.

Then as an addition to her email she informs me that and I again quote "Also, we are not Amazon". Right on lady. You aren't. Amazon (as well as small businesses) I have dealt with will email their customers with basic information of an order. I don't have to drag it out of their customer service department. As I stated, the bags may be great, but they are sorely lacking in customer relations. My daughter is a music performance major and I am certain we will be buying more bags in the future. I believe we will be looking elsewhere in the future.

Altieri bags are sturdy and have everything I need: extra pockets/compartments, strong zippers and padding for added safety, comfort and insulation. I really like their padded instrument "cozy" that keeps my woodwinds safe in drafty pits when I'm doubling. All of the Altieri products I have have lasted for about 15 years; aside from one broken zipper (that just plain wore out) I've had no troubles whatsoever.
