Acousticmusic ORG We love acoustic music and instruments, especially guitars. We view them as a rare combination of Art forms: The Luthiers Art of creation and the instruments ultimate purpose: Music and Performance. We maintain an inventory of instruments representing the widest range of musical styles and tastes and supply an informal Gallery setting so the instruments can be played.

I had a great experience in the store. Ian spent time with me discussing strings for my acoustic archtop guitar.

I had one of the most positive guitar store experiences anywhere at Acoustic Music. I called ahead specifying the guitars I was interested in checking out, arrived with them all ready to go in a dedicated room to play them in. No straining to hear the guitar over other players, no need to feel conscious, nobody hovering over me. Huge thanks to Ian for being super helpful, friendly and making it a great experience!

If you play guitar and enjoy finer instruments you got to stop in. the best selection of quality acoustic guitars and a few electrics too for those who like to plug in. They will also match Sweetwater as well. So if you need a new instrument stop in and support a local shop. Very knowledgeable staff as well.

It's a no brainer, seriously. I've been going here since since I was 16, and used to annoy George with my Stephen Stills impressions. He was patient with me, lol. Anyway, this place is and has always been much more than a guitar shop. Yes, it's a big part of who they are, but make no mistake, it's also a place to be inspired, and be around people who truly love the instrument. They are the ONLY place I send folks.

By far the BEST guitar shop in Connecticut. Ian, Leonard, and Brian are nothing short of delightful to deal with, especially when purchasing a higher end guitar which they have an endless inventory of. Truly stunning collection of instruments and again, by far the coolest music shop in the state! Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Go in and play something!

When my Martin was improperly repaired by a mobile repair guy, I ended up having someone bring it to Acoustic Music.. They quickly identified the problems and fixed it up PERFECT. It's back to it's old self again! I can't say thanks enough!

Gorgeous guitars. They have 2 buildings in Guilford. One is for low-end, inexpensive guitars, but I mainly tried out guitars in the 2nd building, which housed some fine specimens. Huss & Dalton, Santa Cruz, Collins, etc. As a treat, Luthier George Youngblood works in the next room in his beautiful workshop, always willing to answer questions you might have.

I tried out the Huss 00 Custom, and fell in love instantly. I think their prices were very reasonable. Remember, these are NOT average guitars. We're talking works of art.
